    100 Black Men of America Promote College Readiness...

    Students at Westside attended sessions sponsored by the 100 Black Men of Macon-Middle GA organization.  Ms. Elesha Coons (left), from community partner Mind's Eye Business Solutions, presented information to prepare students for Career Fest, which will take place October 29-30th.  Ms. Denson, a Westside counselor (right), worked collaboratively with Ms. Coons to ensure that students have transcripts, college applications, and resumes ready for the upcoming Career Fest event.

  • Wounded Warrior Project...

    Westside's DECA Organization is sponsoring "Wounded Warrior Project" activities during the week of October 12-16.  A letter-writing campaign will run all week, with additional daily activities.  Soldiers from the various military branches will be present every day of the week to assist Westside High School DECA members.

    Wounded Warrior Project

    *Monday 10/12: Hand print flag in the cafeteria on the stage during lunch.
    *Tuesday 10/13: “Wealth for Warriors” Donation boxes - Outside of the cafeteria during lunch.
    *Wednesday 10/14: Camouflage Day. Wear Camouflage to support the troops.
    *Thursday 10/15: Distribute Wounded Warrior Pins outside of the cafeteria during lunch.
    *Friday 10/16:  Video tribute to wounded warriors in social studies classes and cafeteria during lunch.
