  • OK STEM DAY, we just couldn't wait...

Posted by Mark Paschal at 4/23/2015
This year's "official" STEM DAY comes just before the critical Milestones testing, so Westside's students decided to have their STEM DAY celebration a little early this year so they could focus on the STEM DAY event and not skip a beat preparing for the Milestones tests.  Our Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation STEM TEAM partners joined us to provide instruction and materials for the "Rocket Car Challenge" on April 20 and 21.  Students and teachers celebrated the "hands-on" experience of STEM learning and practiced the Engineering Design Process to conceptualize and construct a successful wind-propelled vehicle.  We will be having the RAFB MOA STEM Team come back after Milestones to spend another two days and continue our STEM collaboration and instruction. Please follow this link to our FaceBook Photo Album for this 2-day event: PHOTO ALBUM
