WHS Parents, Georgia Milestones and Advanced Placement (AP) testing will begin April 24 and end May 10, 2017. Please ensure that your child takes every opportunity to review critical knowledge and skills in continued preparation for the Georgia Milestones End of Course (EOC) Test and AP exams. Sports Physicals for Westside and feeder schools will be Wednesday, April 26th at 5:00pm. They will be held at Howard High School this year and there is a $10.00 charge. Forms are available from the coaches.

Westside marches into spring with our April Teacher of the Month AFJROTC Senior master sergeant Janet Grier. SMSgt Grier is an awesome ROTC instructor and school-level leader. She is consistent in her service and an important member of the team. During morning duty, she interacts positively with the students while holding them accountable for our school expectations. She is well-respected by her colleagues and students. Congratulations SMSgt Grier!

Parents and Guardians are asked to take a brief survey that will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous, and are submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for review.
The survey can be completed using a personal computer, smartphone, or tablet. Those without internet access can come by Westside High during normal school hours and a computer will be provided to take the brief survey.

Starting this Fall each Monday and Wednesday at WHS, students will Dress for Success >< Dress to Impress. This is a requirement for all students who are a part of Athletics, Beta, DECA, FBLA, TSA, National Honor Society, Student Council, Yearbook, Academic Team, Band, Drill Team, Drama, Math Team, SAAB, and Mod Squad. We want ALL students to Dress to Impress as well! Higher expectations for our students!
