Dr. Cleta Longis the Director of the Bibb County School Nutrition Program. She is assisted by a knowledgeable and professional staff who have completed courses in food safety training in the nationally recognized ServSafe® Program.
In 2001, the Central Kitchen Facility opened. The Central Kitchen consists of 5 Departments that are responsible for making sure our schools receive the food and staples they need to serve 3.6 million lunches and 1.5 million breakfasts during the school year. The Supervisor of the Central Kitchen Facility is Kay Ball. The Department Managers are: Cathy Hiley - Cook Chill, Wanda Gilliland - Dispatch, An Nien Yu - Packaging, Angela Purvis - Bakery, and Andrea Crump - Warehouse.
Additional support staff in the School Nutrition Central Office include: Sandra Sweat - Secretary, Janet Clowers - Technology Manager, Charlene Grant - Office Manager, and Christina Crane - Inventory Specialist.
The School Nutrition Program currently employs approximately 300 employees.
