Here are the two options for the 2012-2013 calendar:

    Option A                               Option B

Both options are  similar to the 2011-2012 calendar.   Please review the options and click here to vote for your preferred calendar.  Results of the survey will be tabulated, and the option with the most votes will be moved forward for approval to the Board of Education on March 15, 2012.

Please provide your vote and feedback by the end of the day on Friday, March 9, 2012. Feedback received after that time will not be considered.

The following comments may be helpful to you as you consider a calendar choice for the 2012-2013 school year.

  • Both calendar options are based on 176 student days and 190 teacher days.
  • Holidays on both calendars include:
    • a.      Labor Day, September 3, 2012
    • b.      Columbus Day, October 15, 2012 (non-school day for students, work day for teachers/administrators)
    • c.      Veterans Day, November 12, 2012 (non-school day for students, work day for teachers/administrators)
    • d.      Thanksgiving, November 22, 2012
    • e.      Christmas, December 25, 2012
    • f.       New Years Day, January 1, 2013
    • g.      Martin Luther King Day, January 21, 2013
    • h.      Presidents Day, February 18, 2013
    • i.       Memorial Day, May 27, 2013
  • Graduation is the Friday and Saturday following the last day of school in both options.
  • The calendar will be presented to the Board of Education on Thursday, March 15, 2012.
