A warm hello and welcome to our fine, fine school!  My name is Kim E. Tolbert and I am excited to serve as the Assistant Principal for Brookdale Elementary.  Along with our principal, Dr. Nadine McQueen Campbell, I look forward to working with a community of capable students, supportive and caring parents, and a determined staff who strives on a daily basis to ensure all students are learning because indeed, all students can learn.

 

I have had the pleasure of serving in the field of education for the past twenty years.  As a classroom teacher, instuctional coach, and now as an administrator, I understand the importance of a strong bond between home and school.  I want to encourage you to continue an active role in your child's education.  Know that we are committed to providing an environment where student achievement is our top priority.  By working together, we can ensure that every student at Brookdale is set on a path of academic excellence. 

 

We are an America's Choice School!  As such, each student will benefit from research based strategies that are interwoven throughout the content areas.  Our Performance Learning Coach, Literacy Coach, and Math Coaches will assist in providing students with techniques that enhance their understanding of Literacy and Math.  We are fortunate to have such skilled individuals working at Brookdale and look forward to assisting your child in an effort to maximize his/her success.
