SkyTechies  are students who create multimedia projects for competition in the Bibb County and GeorgiaTechnology Fair, and the Bibb County, Georgia, and International Student Media Festivals. Winning projects also participate in the local MaGafest FilmFestival. Projects are accessible on the Skyview ServerV Drive/Power Learning/Tech Fair Folders
 
Criteria for Selection:
 
- Because of their hands-on experience as a WSKY Skywalker (live morning broadcaster), students are primarily selected from the Skywalker pool.
- Students are also selected if they have a real interest in multimedia production andshare that desire with their teacher or the media specialist.
 
Students use “speciality schedules” ( music, P.E. and computer lab) to work on projects.Students and parents must be committed to working after school hours when necessary.
 
Skyview SkyTechies’ Honors:
 
 

- Technology Fairs – Placed at County & State Level every year.

- Student Media Festival- Merit of Excellence at County, State and International Levels every year.

- InternationalStudent Media Festival- Judges Favorites and Best of Show- multiple honors.

 
Recognition 

- Students are recognized at the end of the year.

- Students participate in a year end field trip.
