Choral Music Education/Literary Program

            The RHS Choirs serve the community by performing at local churches, memorial services, nursing homes, civic and charity event functions. The RHS Chapter of Tri-M Music Honor Society offers yet another vehicle for service learning projects and recognizes our student leaders based on academic achievement, character and service.

Georgia Music Educators Association Large Group Performance Evaluations:

            The RHS Literary Team has been extremely successful capturing the GHSA Region Championship trophies in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2011, the Literary Team won 2nd place at State Literary. There have been 9 individual GHSA State Champions in vocal performance from RHS since 2006.

            13WMAZ awarded  the RHS Fine Arts Department “Schools That Shine” for May of 2009.

            Over the past six years, more students selected for the GMEA All-State Chorus have come from RHS than from any other school in our entire district comprising 21 counties.
