Dear Porter Elementary School Families,

I would like to introduce myself and share my excitement about my appointment as principal of Porter Elementary School.  It is both an honor and privilege to be a part of an OUTSTANDING faculty and staff, SUPPORTIVE parents, and most of all, GREAT STUDENTS.  Porter Elementary has a reputation of excellence, and I feel very fortunate to be joining an established school culture that focuses on student learning and achievement, has a commitment to high expectations, and that embraces educational innovations and stakeholder collaboration.  It is my intent to continue with many of the traditions and practices already in place while also working to make necessary changes and improvements to enhance the educational experience of our students. 

I am determined to provide the best of my knowledge, skills, abilities, and faith to the Porter community, and especially to the Porter Elementary students.  I look forward to being a part of a warm and caring school environment and working together with each of you.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Married to my lovely wife Brenda for 37 years (no children)
  • My hobbies include: golfing, auto racing, playing guitar, traveling (my last trip was an Alaskan Cruise), and working with my hands (mechanics, construction, and yard chores)
  • My pet is a dog named Tillie
