Peer Mediators
 
Miller Magnet Middle School has had a Peer Mediation Program for over 12 years. Peer Mediators are students who consistently demonstrate exemplary academic achievement, good leadership skills, and positive behavior in our school's environment. During the middle years, students experience dynamic physical and emotional growth. As students move from childhood to adulthood, conflict is a natural and common occurrence.
 
Peer Mediators work with teachers, counselors, administrators, and their peers to cultivate an academically nurturing and peaceful environment, an environment in which students learn the root causes of conflict and collaboratively work to develop non—violent solutions.
