McKibben Lane students are encouraged to participate in healthy competitive situations which require them to maximize efforts in the academic areas. Fourth and Fifth grade students compete in the Math Team Competition.
The team will meet on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 in Mrs. Etheridge's room. 
These students are coached by Mrs. Etheridge in the months prior to the competitions, primarily before and after regular school hours. Competitions such as these require a serious commitment on the part of each student, however, the benefits are incredible. Lane has been very successful at the district and state levels in recent competitions!
