  Dear Carter Community,                                           Principal Reeves   
      I am very excited about the wonderful opportunity to serve as your principal!  Moreover, I look forward to working with each of you as we strive to educate children and encourage a love for learning.  As your principal, I strongly believe that it is my responsibility to ensure that students receive a quality education by fostering a thriving school community that is conducive to learning, and  student achievement.
    It is my belief that education is the vehicle which transports children safely through their meandering journey of intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.  It is driven by individuals who are deeply committed to following the road map which leads to their intrinsic belief that "all children can learn."  
   Thus, it is from within this framework that I strive to lead Carter Elementary School.  Embedded within my philosophy of education are three distinctive characteristics that define and describe my role as the school administrator.  As your principal, I will strive to encourage the hearts of others and exist as a beacon of light.  I will  positively influence and add value to the lives of others, as well as help others achieve desired goals.
    Enclosing, I invite you to challenge the edge of the universe by soaring with the Falcons at Sonny Carter Elementary!
