2016-17 Magnet School Application and Process
Magnet applications for Alexander II Math & Science Magnet School may be picked up at any elementary school, Miller Middle and other magnet schools applications may be picked up at any elementary school, at Miller Magnet Middle School, or on the Bibb County BOE website and from our website (click on link below) from November 18-December 7, 2015. Applications for Alexander II and Miller Magnet School will be accepted until December 7, 2015 with selection made by January 15, 2016. Families will be notified by January 22, 2016 of acceptance and will have until February 22, 2016 to make a formal acceptance or declination.
A separate application must be completed for each school and each child, and they must be hand-delivered by an adult or sent by U.S. Mail to each school.

On Thursday night 11-5-2015, Literacy night was held at Alex II Math and Science Magnet School. It included musical performances by all grade levels, book fair, Health-M-Powers booth-display and a storybook pumpkin contest. Literacy night was friendly monster themed. Students and staff dressed as favorite monsters. Winners of pumpkin contest earned money toward book fair purchases.
