AXA Achievement Community Scholarship

DEADLINE: February 1, 2012

Every AXA Advisors' branch office nationwide distributes up to twelve $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who live and attend high school in their area. An AXA Achiever must demonstrate: Ambition and drive, determination to set and reach goals, respect for self, family and community, ability to succeed in college. KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program

DEADLINE: February 8, 2012

Eligibility: Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 2.75, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a public Georgia College or university, is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.  The online application will be available starting December 1, 2011 to February 8, 2012.  For more information and to apply online go to www.kfcscholars.org




Zeta Phi Beta Scholarship Awards- Epsilon Tau Zeta Chapter

DEADLINE: February 8, 2012

Eligibility: Applicants must be planning to attend a technical college, college or university.  Complete scholarship application (includes recent photo, letter of recommendation, and a statement of financial need).  Awards will be a minimum of $500.00.  Pick up application from Ms. Madray or in the Career Center file.

 


 

National Co-op Scholarship Program

National Commission for Cooperative Education

DEADLINE: February 15, 2012

Eligibility: Minimum GPA of 3.5, complete all the required admissions applications material and be accepted at one of the National Commission Partner Institutions: Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Kettering University, Pace University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo, or Wentworth Institute of Technology.  For more information and to apply online, go to www.co-op.edu.

The Al Lucas Memorial Scholarship
DEADLINE: March 31
Eligibility: Student athletes graduating from Bibb County public high schools that have athletic programs. Hamilton Holt Kiwanis Scholarship Fund

DEADLINE: April 13, 2012

Various scholarship amounts range from $1,000-$4,000 in value.  Applicant must be a High School Senior and a resident of Bibb County, GA.  Applications are available at www.maconkiwanis.org

 


 

 Eddye May Booth Leadership Scholarship

- submit written documentation from two individuals verifying leadership activity (not from relatives)

-Write a 500 word essay explaining why he or she is the best candidate for the Eddye Mae Booth Leadership Scholarship

Bethel Memorial Scholarship
DEADLINE: April 1
Eligibility: Senior male students who will be graduating high school in 2011 and will be attending the Georgia Institute of Technology. One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded.  See Ms. Madray for an application if you are interested.


Peyton Anderson Scholars
DEADLINE: April 1
Eligibility: Graduating seniors from an accredited high school in Bibb County with a minimum 2.0 GPA applying to one of the following colleges or universities: Central Georgia Technical College - Macon, Fort Valley State University - Fort Valley, Georgia College and State University - Milledgeville, Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta, Georgia State University - Atlanta, Macon State College - Macon, Mercer University - Macon, Middle Georgia Technical College - Warner Robins, University of Georgia - Athens, Wesleyan College - Macon.  Ten scholarships between $2,500 and $7,500 per year (depending on your tuition and living expenses) will be awarded each year. The Clifton/Whitehead Scholarship
DEADLINE: May 31

The Apostle David L. Pitts, Sr. Steward of Excellence Scholarship
DEADLINE: May 31
Eligibility: Students must be pursuing a degree in an art related field (i.e. Art, Fashion Design, Landscape Design, Art History, Architectural Design, etc.)  Student must be a graduating senior in good academic standing and enrolled at an accredited school/college/university in the fall semester following high school graduation. Lillian T. Cartledge Scholarship
DEADLINE: May 31
Eligibility: Employees of Carlyle Place and their dependents, enrolled at and pursuing an undergraduate degree at a public College, University, or Technical School in Middle Georgia.  Student must be enrolled as a full-time student, or as a part-time student and working full-time. Preference will be given to students with financial need and those who are not receiving any other type of financial aid.  Candidates must demonstrate a caring attitude, be of high moral character and show a passion for their field of interest. The GIGA Inc. Scholarship
DEADLINE: May 31
Eligibility: Employees of GIGA and their dependents.  Student must be enrolled at, or acceptance to, an accredited public or private college or university, pursuing an undergraduate degree.  A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA through the last two grading periods and enrollment as a full-time student, or as a part-time student and working full-time is required. The Shield Club Scholarship
DEADLINE: May 31

The Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship Program
DEADLINE: September 30
Eligibility: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be U.S. citizens of African American, Asian Pacific Island, Native American, Native Alaskan, or Hispanic descent.  They should be full-time undergraduate or graduate students in technical fields.  The Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship Program offers scholarships between $1,000 to $10,000, depending on tuition balance, academic excellence and classification.
