2nd Grade / Green Earth Club

Hello, from the Green Earth Club! Welcome to our site. This a new start for all of us at King-Danforth Elementary. As our students embark upon life in this century, our world is changing rapidly. Their future will rely upon being aware of the environment around them and learning to take care of its resources. Resources that we take for granted may not be there for our children, even in the very near future. Becoming informed is the purpose of our club. A second advantage of our club is that it teaches our children responsibility, as well as, care and concern for others. These qualities will carry them through a lifetime.

Thanks to all of you for your generous donations to our recycling center. We will soon take a leaf bag full downtown to cash in. We hope our club will raise funds for our grounds. There are so many wonderful projects we would love to begin next year to beautify our school and make the outside an awesome learning environment for our students.

The pop tabs are piling up daily! We have collected 4 1/2 restaurant pickle jars full since last year. You guys are awesome! The Ronald McDonald House is counting on us to purchase new beds for the hospital! We will not let them down. Remember, EVERY TAB COUNTS!
