Dear Parents,                                                            

 

Welcome to Sixth Grade Language Arts! I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

 

Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include reading/literature and writing.

 
 Homework assignments will be indicated in your child’s student planner. Please ask to see this daily.  You can expect for your child to have Language Art homework about twice a week. At certain times of the year, this may be more or less.  Teachers also often use the student planner to communicate concerns about missing assignments, behavior, etc.

 

Studies show that parental involvement in a child’s education is one of the strongest indicators of student achievement. We hope you will make it a priority this year to attend as many school-sponsored events as possible. Also, if you would like to donate supplies for the classroom, it would be greatly appreciated (Kleenex, Hand Sanitizer, or Clorox Wipes).
