About Me

I am originally from Portsmouth, Virginia where I lived until graduation from high school.  After graduation, I moved to Oklahoma to pursue my lifelong interest in meteorology where I enjoyed chasing tornadoes and living in one of the best places in the world for violently changing weather.  I joined the Air Force after college where I served as a weather officer for 4 years while living in Montgomery, Alabama; Biloxi, Mississippi; Tucson, Arizona; and eventually Warner Robins, Georgia.  During my time in the Air Force, I had the opportunity to teach weather and realized that in addition to science, I love teaching.  After completing my military obligations, I pursued my Master's Degree and began teaching science.  I have been teaching in Bibb County since 2007 and began at Rutland High in 2010.
