Greetings! I am honored to be able to serve as the principal of Morgan Elementary School for another school year. This is my 11th year in education with Bibb County Public Schools. Prior to this appointment, I served as an Assistant Principal at Miller Magnet Middle School for three years. Other positions that I have held include: Instructional Lead Teacher at Bruce Elementary School, Teacher on Special Assignment with the Title I office, and 8th Grade Math Teacher at Ballard-Hudson and Rutland Middle Schools.
I firmly believe that education is the key to success and have dedicated myself as being a lifelong learner. I graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Management from Georgia College & State University. After being in the business sector for three years, I realized that teaching was my calling and decided to pursue something that I was truly passionate about doing. In 2004, I obtained my Master's degree in Administration, and a year later, I received my Specialist degree in Administration from Georgia College & State University. In 2009, I completed my Doctoral degree in Educational Administration at Georgia Southern University.
I have been married for 12 years and have an 11 year old daughter named Brianna. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and watching Law & Order.
Please know that it is my uncompromising belief that all students can be successful, and it is up to us to explore and find ways to assist them in their journey to success. I am very passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, and I know that, TOGETHER, we can achieve any goal that we set for our school! I know that it takes a great team to make a great school, and Morgan already has a great team and is already a great school. We will continue to be known as a school of distinction and will set strides to move from “GREAT to GREATER” each and every year forward.
