  • Guest Speaker for Career Awareness

On February 20, 2013 Mrs. Phyllis Johnson's 7th Grade Career Awareness class had a quest speaker, Peggie McKinley, from Middle GA Mounted Search and Rescue. The purpose of the group is to search for people lost or misplaced from their homes or family; and provide assistance to equine that are lost or who are in need of physical intervention in the Middle Georgia Area. Peggie formed this team in 2001 after she got a call from a friend who was searching for a missing loved one. She called her horse riding friends together to search for him. Unfortunately, he was found too late. Seventh grader Elisha Romero said, "She was a very nice lady and I believe it was very interesting what she had to say. I hope to join the Mounted Search and rescue one day."

Georgia Online Assessment System

What is the OAS?

The OAS enables students in Georgia' public schools to access tests that consist of the same kinds of questions as appear on the state's assessments in Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies in the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT), the End of Course Tests (EOCT), and the Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT).

How Do I Get My Logon ID and Password?
